I am absolutely LOVING this home in the latest issue of Dwell Magazine, located outside of Tel Aviv. It has an amazing coolness about it. I haven’t gotten this excited and inspired by an apartment in a long time. I love the concrete floors, and the detail of the concrete wall behind the bed. So simple, and absolutely beautiful.

Something slightly off topic today. Since most of you who read this blog are American, I have a little question for you. I’m going to New York for two weeks in August, I’ve been before, but since I’m going with some friends this time we want to rent an apartment and not stay at a hotel. Any ideas? I just find all the sites I’ve found kind of overwhelming, so I thought, maybe you could help!
Do you know a great site? Do you know of an agency that rents out short term that isn’t ridiculously expensive? Do you know anyone that won’t be around in august that has at least two bedrooms? Or someone that wants to come to Paris and stay in my apartment? Seriously, anything would help. Thank you!

I know I’m a little bit behind when it comes to this apartment. I just came back from my little break for the holidays, and found this french-inspired Malmö apartment on every design blog out there. I will post it anyway, it fits too well into this Paris-based, scandinavian-inspired blog. I thought it would be a good way to start 2012, may this year be the best one yet!

Fashion designer Alaïa converted a 300m2 parisian loft into 3 luxury 100m2 private hotel suites. This is his take on beautiful everyday living, as the feeling he was looking for was home away from home.

Few blogs inspire me as much as the yvestown blog, she has an incredible design sense.
Her last post actually inspired me to do something else than just drool over her pictures, I got instagram! You can find me under the name idamariacederlof, and I promise to be more active than I’ve been here lately. Anyway, something new!
And I hope you are ready because here comes, as another hommage to the yvestown blog, my first christmas picture!

I’ve been enjoying this warm fall so much, but believe it or not, I’m so ready for some winter. I want to see some snow! Look at this beautiful house.
