Another swedish home filled with quirky graphical details. I haven’t gone mad and suddenly only like things with crazy dots and stripes, I still like white. Lots of white. Don’t worry, I just happened to find all these inspirational homes that happened to have an odd side to them. And notice the floors. LOVE.

I’m a big fan of the AGA stoves, they represent that old english style so well. I just saw this picture of a special edition stove that they made in collaboration with designer Emma Bridgewater, I mean how cute is that?

I’m really fascinated by this house. On the outside it’s so typically swedish, but on the inside it’s so bold. And crazy. It keeps the swedish spirit, but it feels so much more free than usual. It might be the colors, but even the choice of tile for the kitchen walls with the chairs, or the bicycle decoration mixed with all those great mid century design classics…wow! It must be a really fun house to live in.

How cool is this?
“DESIGNED BY LEBANESE ARCHITECT, FADI SARIEDDINE, THIS INDOOR SEATING IS INSPIRED BY GREENERY AND PLANT SYSTEMS. IN THE MODERN-DAY URBAN SPRAWL, ORGANIC SYSTEMS ARE EMBRACED IN A BID TO INCLUDE GREENERY IN OUR CONCRETE LIVES. THIS PIECE ACTS AS AN UNCONVENTIONAL BENCH, OR INDOOR PLANT POT. ”

I guess it’s not a surprise that Martha Stewart’s kitchen would be nice, but I must say I wasn’t expecting this taste level. I think it’s really great. Also, the sight of something this organized always makes me happy.

..made in to a modern, sleek castle, with amazing graphic touches. Artist Xenia Edberg Kledzig fell in love with an old roughed up school in south of Sweden and decided to make the most of it. And people, I believe she did.
Look at this staircase!
All this black and white and stripes and dots, isn’t it just great? I also love love love the black Ruben light over the island in the kitchen.
And of course the 265 flos light over the dining table. I also think the grey wall was a very clever, modern choice as a contrast to the white wooden panels on the walls.
From the guest room you get this amazing view of the bathroom. I like the way it’s just placed in the middle of the room as a real center piece of the space.

..where everything seems to be beautiful. This is a house in Charlottenlund, just outside of Copenhagen, owned by danish designer Nina Kejser and her italian husband Mario Ladanza.

I found this in an old issue of sköna hem magazine, I know I do a lot of posts with apartments and houses from this magazine, but I think they do really great things. This is an apartment with a sort of unusual mix, it’s located in Tokyo, owned and designed by a japanese woman and a swedish man. They took the best from two worlds, and made this beautiful apartment together. Isn’t that romantic?

Yes, we’ve seen this over and over again, but that doesn’t necessarily means it’s bad, right? did a great post on how to warm up your checkerboard floor, and I must say it really made me want one.

Ok so this might be a boring post, all about me bragging about my new job on the side, for swedish ELLE interiör. Anyway, just to show you how it looked on their main page the first day. And I promise to pay more attention to this blog than I’ve done the past few days.
