I’m back, and so ready for this year, it’s time for a really good year now, and I think 2011 might be it. Let’s start with another beautiful house featured in danish magazine boligmagasinet. Notice the floors, have you ever seen so many beautiful wooden floors in one house?

In a couple of hours, I’m leaving the office to go on my christmas holiday, so this might be the last post for a while. I’m gonna go to my Pierre’s family in Angers for christmas, then we’re going home to Sweden for 10 days! Here’s where we’re gonna live:

No, I’m not kidding, we are going to live on this boat in the middle of Stockholm for 10 days. It might have been a better idea to do this during the summer, but still, I can’t wait! I’m gonna eat good food, see my family and all my friends, then I’m gonna be all refreshed and ready for 2011!

I found this kitchen as a part of a contest on the swedish site hemmakanalen. I must say, it’s almost perfect.

I love the softness in the colors and materials in this beautiful, renovated 19th century barn by David Kohn architects in Norfolk, UK. And, of course, the light.

All over Sweden right now people are making ginger bread houses, that is only one of all the fantastic traditions we have before christmas. I miss home a little in december. Anyway, this is something we are dead serious about. The museum of architecture in Stockholm organizes a contest each year, to find the most inspiring and original ginger bread creations. Here are some of this years contestants:

Deep in the Austrian Alps, you’ll find the beautiful work of Architect Katia Polletin. I never thought anything completely covered in wood could feel this sleek and sophisticated.
