Bodum’s swiss chalet

Jorgen Bodum, son of founder for Bodum, the famous danish brand of kitchen utensils recently renovated this beautiful chalet, built in 1719 and located in the swiss alps. I found this in the latest issue of Côté Est magazine. Less sleek than my usual taste, but oh so romantic.

Again, the floating stairs, gorgeous.

All the wood details in this house are so beautiful. The doors, the floors and ceilings. And who would not want these old beams in contrast to the modern sinks and tub in their bathroom?

I would have made this kitchen more cozy, if this house would have been mine. Unfortunately it’s not.

But the reason I fell for this article was this picture. It’s perfect. (I’ve been told I should play it more cool and not LOVE everything I put in the blog, but how can you not be enthusiastic about a picture like this)Look at that bedroom!

We will be building a small traveling house. Our plans will be coming from tumbleweedhouses.com.
My husband loves the look of swiss chalets and I love gypsy caravans. We are looking to produce a house with more of the feel of those beautiful, romantic designs than what tumbleweed has as their stock look.
