Yes, we’ve seen this over and over again, but that doesn’t necessarily means it’s bad, right? did a great post on how to warm up your checkerboard floor, and I must say it really made me want one.

The yellow painting above the dinertable makes the whole room, more art for the people is my opinion.
great post as usual!
I love checkered board floors. Over the years I have painted my share. They always look great.
Love the rooms in the photos.

I have recently had the black and white checkerboard flooring put in my kitchen. I am a first time homebuyer and have dreamed of my first kitchen having this flooring. But now that it is in, my decor is all wrong. Does anyone have anymore suggestions as to what wall floor I should do, the current color is green name RETRO alvocado …it is a small kitchen right in the center of our house, surrounding rooms are red, yellow and grey. I feel like it needs just the right colors and decor to work..I NEED HELP! These photos above work perfectly…all is just right!
Well, if you look at all these photos on top, all the walls are white. I think that’s the only way to do it, especially if your kitchen is small, I really think white walls is the way to go. I hope you can find some inspiration in the rest of the photos on how to decorate it, they’re all very different, but as you say, they all look great! Good luck, and send me some pictures when you’re done! Cheers, Ida
