I just found this on tumblr, she calls it an “evergrowing collection of stuff I like”. I really like the layout of this site, although I don’t really know how she gets away with no image references at all, but that’s not really my problem. Anyway, I think she has great taste.

I just went to maison & objets, the big french furniture fair that takes place in Paris twice a year. I honestly wasn’t that impressed, I knew most of the stuff already, so it wasn’t very inspiring. BUT I did find some things I really really liked, like this lamp for example:
SO cool. This led me to check out the designers. With the great name rich brilliant willing, they had to do cool stuff. I’m not surprised that I LOVED it all.

The new catalogue was in my mailbox yesterday, and I can’t tell you how excited I was! It is definitely one of my favorite moments every fall(that might sound a bit sad, I do have fun too, but IKEA is still somewhat of a bible to me), to sit down and go through all the yummy new stuff. I think the styling in this years catalogue is great! Here are a few of my favorites from the 2011 collection:
Be sure to check out the rest of the new collection here, have fun!

A simple summer house, sure, but simple in the most serene, luxurious way. Designed and owned by graphic designer-couple Henrik Nygren and Susanna Nygren Barrett, this summer house on the island Gotland outside of Sweden is more than just a simple summer house. Filled with beautiful vintage mid-century design classics, and no less than 11 m2 of windows with an ocean view, I’m wondering how they ever leave.

This was one of my first posts on this blog, it featured the exquisite apartment of Solveig Fernlund and Neil Logan of fernlund + logan architects. I went back to visit their website, and got caught once again by their swedish/american inspired aesthetics.

So, jumping straight to the second fantastic apartment from bolig magasinet. It makes me less bitter to know that it’s owned by an architect, and that it took her 10 years to get the apartment to this stage. Because people, I’m in love, and amazed. This is my apartment. Except from a few tiny details I might have done differently, and of course if my budget was unlimited, I’m pretty sure this is almost exactly what my apartment would look like. I know my excitement for apartments might be getting boring, but I think I will keep on getting this excited until I live in a place that looks the way I want it to look, so bare with me. Hopefully it will be soon, and then I can go back to criticizing.
First of all, those of you that have been with me for a while, can guess me reaction to this floor. It could not be more perfect. And of course the space, the light, ceiling height , the beams, the kitchen lights, etc, etc. I could go in forever.

I just found two fantastic homes in the danish magazine bolig. Actually I found more than just two, but I’ll save the others for another time, there’s got to be some limit to my Denmark-obsession.
This apartment, owned by Kristina May Olsen and Morten Bo Jensens, was an old office space that the designer-couple turned into a modern, immaculate living space for them and their children.
I love how they decided to leave this room all open, and not make a separate kitchen. They really embraced all that fantastic natural light.
Bike decorating, seems to be the new thing. This one designed by Marc Newson.
The kitchen is beautiful, yes, simple and sleek. But I can’t take my eyes off the lights! Similar ones are also hanging over the kitchen island, both from Artemide. Very industrial chic.
And the cherry on top, well at least for me it is, don’t we all want that perfect black-on-white-frame-puzzle-wall?

Remember this incredible house designed by Elding Oscarson? Dwell magazine just did an amazing article about it, which made me really happy because I could see even more stunning pictures. The light in this house is just to die for. So are the floors.
Happy owners. Happy owners with really, really good taste.
This, for me is just the perfect home office, I couldn’t have dreamed it better.
